Junior Legal Secretary

£14,500 - £16,500, FTE

Job Description

We our proud to be recruiting a Junior Legal Secretary on behalf of a growing business who cares for their staff and clients. Their main aim is to motivate and provide a happy, encouraging environment to ensure the continued success of the firm.

No particular experience in law is required but it would be helpful to have a basic knowledge of secretarial or administration skills.

This is a part time role for 20 - 25 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing secretarial support to the wills and probate department.
  • Typing letters and documents for fee earners.
  • Photocopying accompanying documents.
  • Faxing urgent matters
  • Operate all relevant computer packages e.g. Word, Practice management systems, Case management etc.
  • Dealing with enquiries from new and existing clients and providing a high level of service.
  • Seeing new clients who call in for appointments.
  • Dealing with telephone enquiries from existing clients.
  • Dealing with telephone enquiries from other agencies.


  • Good computer skills
  • High degree of multi-tasking and time management capability
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Integrity and professionalism
  • GCSE'S Grade A-C in English and Maths.
