Family Paralegal


Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for a professional Paralegal with family law experience to join a leading firm as they require support to their Civil Legal Advice team based at their Nottingham office. 

This role would suit someone who is able to work in a busy legal practice due to the nature of the role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing client support within the legal team and serving on a specialist telephone advice contract.
  • Attending upon clients
  • Drafting documentation.
  • Preparing and drafting motions, pleadings, judgements, statements, documents and other correspondence. 
  • Performing legal research.
  • Maintaining attorney calendars and case files.
  • Scheduling appointments, court appearances, and mediation/ deposition hearings.
  • Serving as a liaison between the client and attorney
  • Conducting client interviews.
  • Preparing trial notebooks and providing assistance in trial settings.
  • Attending case conferences and direct casework. 
Candidate specification:
  • We are looking for someone who will work diligently and professionally.
  • Be capable of prioritising a workload.
  • Excellent clerical and administration skills.
  • Excellent telephone manner.
As well as gaining invaluable experience within a professional legal firm, you will benefit from the opportunities provided within a busy team working on a varied caseload in all areas of family law matters.
The role will require some flexible working hours including some Saturday mornings on occasion.
