Job Description

My client are a major regional law firm based in Northampton. They are looking for an excellent candidate to fill a role as an IT Support Analyst. 

The successful candidate will be highly motivated and have a combination of excellent technical and communications skills, suitable for providing support and assistance to a diverse team of dedicated fee earning professionals and their support staff.

We are looking for a candidate who has:

·Strong desktop/server support skillset including: Windows 7 and 10 troubleshooting and maintenance and Windows Server (including 2016) troubleshooting and maintenance

·An understanding of network infrastructure and connectivity principles.


·Windows desktop and server builds

·Proven knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Exchange troubleshooting and maintenance

·Group policy and AD management

·A pragmatic approach to problem-solving and the ability to learn quickly

·Flexible and willing to tackle a broad range of technology issues

·Hardware (server and workstation) build and installation.

·Proven knowledge of Security and risk management – firewall, security updates, cybersecurity

·Knowledge/experience of multi-site networks

·Proven experience delivering small to medium scale projects

·Storage management - working knowledge of iSCSI SAN / storage

·MDM management with iOS devices

·Must be very approachable and have excellent communication skills

·The ability to work outside normal business hours when necessary

·Knowledge and experience of working for a law firm and supporting legal applications would be beneficial. 

Please note that a full clean driving licence and own transport are essential as you will be required to travel to other offices as and when required.
