Conveyancing Assistant/ Paralegal

Job Description

We are seeking to recruit a Conveyancing assistant/ Paralegal to provide cost effective administrative support to Conveyancers within our clients team based in Leicester.
The ideal candidate will have experience of the conveyancing industry.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deal with initial instruction paperwork and correspondence 
  • Deal with sale enquiries 
  • Meeting clients with paperwork for signing and general enquiries
  • Completion set ups including indents, invoices, completion statements, and requesting bank details from client
  • Deal with completion correspondence
  • Check signed paperwork before exchange and request deposit monies
  • Update estate agents, clients, lenders and solicitors
  • Chase for redemption figures from lenders 
  • Chase lenders for mortgage release on a purchase 
  • Check mortgage offers 
  • Check searches
  • Raise enquiries on a purchase
  • Send COT’s to Lenders 
  • Draft SDLT Forms
  • Opening and sorting incoming post
  • Franking external post
  • Ensuring meeting rooms are set up and cleared before and after meetings
