Job Description
Our client, based in Bingham, are looking for a Procurement and Fleet Manager to join their team due to continued expansion of their organisation. The role requires a confident and experienced individual to oversee the purchase of products, services, and equipment for the organisation. You will monitor and reduce procurement costs whilst improving operating efficiency. They are looking for an individual who has at least 2years’ experience in a procurement manager role, ideally within the engineering sector.
£40,000 - £50,000 depending on experience.

- Developing procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.
- Sourcing of and negotiating with reliable suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
- Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility.
- Approving purchase orders and organizing and confirming delivery of goods and services.
- Performing risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.
- Controlling the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
- Overseeing and managing the IT systems that track shipments, inventory, and the supply of goods.
- Procure vehicles, whether through lease, purchase, or other means, according to company requirements.
- Register, obtain licenses, and insure the company’s vehicles
- Secure vehicles, drivers (during work-related activities), and relevant assets
- Partner with reputable repair and maintenance shops in favourable locations
- Oversee and schedule vehicle inspection, maintenance, and servicing to minimize downtime
- Maintain all vehicle information and inspection records
- At least 2years’ experience in a procurement manager role
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration would be beneficial
- Proven experience managing supply chain operations
- Procurement cost management and analysis skills are essential
- Experience using supply chain management software and tools, including Oracle, SAP Ariba, and/or Envision.
- In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms
- Management and leadership skills.
