My client, a thriving business based in Leicester, are seeking an IT professional to join their small IT function as IT Assistant Manager.

The successful candidate will work with the IT manager and IT director to provide support to enable the business to achieve its vision. The role varies greatly from being involved in large on-going projects through to day-to-day minor queries and questions from staff. The successful candidate will need to be a people person who enjoys systems and adding value, you will have a high level of technical expertise and the ability to liaise with staff at all levels to fully understand business practices and procedures. We are looking for someone who has a strong demonstratable understanding of ERP systems and the ability to problem solve by finding the under lying problem and implementing procedures and improvements.
IT Assistant Manager - The Role
Working with the IT assistant to manage first line support provide with respect to PC, windows and office issues.
Working with the IT manager to provide additional support to all departments within the organisation.
Work with external IT support agencies in providing additional support services and software to enhance the operation of the business.
Working with the company’s ERP system, Sage X3 to investigate and resolve day to day issues.
Ongoing analysis and development of processes across all functional areas of the business using both the companies ERP or additional software.
Conducting requirements analysis and preparing specific proposals for modified or replacement of systems.
Integrations between Sage X3 and Websites
Provision of management information as required using SQL, Crystal Reports, SAGE X3
Working closely with colleagues, developers and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction.
Production of procedural documentation for new and existing processes.
Working with the IT manager and IT Director to implement new systems aimed at moving the business to a cloud based infrastructure.
IT Assistant Manager - The Candidate:
· Microsoft office products especially excel & word, Crystal Reports, SQL Server. · Experience of specifying, implementing and working on ERP system projects. · Basic accounting knowledge while not mandatory, will be an advantage. · Good knowledge and understanding of end to end business processes. · Experience of SAGE X3 while not mandatory, will be an advantage. · Desire and ambition to progress and develop with a growing business. · Must be able to work under own initiative as well as part of a team · An approachable and friendly style with excellent communication skills is a must as you will be supporting all employees on site. Confidence to deal with people at all levels.
