Product Development Engineer

Kirkland Associates are delighted to be seeking a Product Development Engineer for our client based in Sutton-in-Ashfield. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled innovative professional with an interest in Design & Mechanics to join an industry leader within the construction industry.

Product Development Engineer – The Role:

To project manage approval test programmes for the chemical anchoring product range at internal or external testing houses and report on status monthly
To develop knowledge of the performance requirements, test standards and the assessment process for chemical anchoring products
To work closely with the Senior Product Engineer to ensure that the company has up to date approvals for use in countries across the world
To manage the transfer of approvals to customers as requested by the Business Development Managers, recording all details within CRM/ERP system
To create and maintain Product Data Sheets containing all technical information regarding the products offered to customers
To research and investigate structural codes, approvals, and potential opportunities, based on the requirements of the global construction industry

Product Development Engineer – The Candidate:

Educated to degree level or above in a relevant Engineering subject
Between 1 and 5 years of relevant industry experience
Sound understanding of structural engineering concepts
Willing to develop in-depth knowledge about the international product approval process and the industry sector
Project management skills
Problem-solving and research skills
Analysis, documentation and report writing skills
IT skills to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
