Customer Service Manager

£30,000 - £40,000 | Office-Based | Monday to Friday

We’re excited to be recruiting for a fantastic opportunity with our Nottingham-based client, who are currently going through an exciting period of growth. They’re looking for a motivated and people-focused Customer Service Manager to join their team.
This role will start as a Customer Service Team Leader, giving you time to learn the business inside and out, before stepping up into the Manager position after 6 months.
You’ll receive full training, work in a modern and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will be hands-on and comfortable taking on day-to-day customer service tasks, while also effectively leading and supporting the team
  
The Role:
  • Lead, coach, and mentor a small customer service team.
  • Act as the first point of contact for customers, working hands-on alongside your team.
  • Keep clients informed about stock levels, delivery schedules, and updates.
  • Handle customer issues, ensuring a positive and professional experience every time.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers and couriers, resolving any delivery or stock issues.
  • Oversee onboarding, training, and absence management.
  • Identify ways to improve processes and boost team efficiency through coaching.
  • Ensure all issues are resolved within agreed timeframes and service standards.
  
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Experience in a similar role, such as Customer Service Team Leader, Senior Customer Service Representative, or Manager.
  • Comfortable managing a team while being hands-on in customer service tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong IT skills with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Highly organised with great attention to detail.
  • Confident juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible to work one Sunday per month, with one day off during the week.
