Job Description

Our prestigious and leading client are currently searching for a Senior Marketing Events Executive to join their team. This role can be based in either of their Birmingham or Leicester City Centre office. You would be working closely with the Marketing Events Manager and wider team to contribute to a variety of activities covering the full marketing spectrum. The team in particular play a crucial role in helping the firm achieve its ambitious growth plans. They are multi-disciplined, offering a range of services including client & business development, growth-led marketing, PR and communications and event planning for the firm.

Marketing Events Executive – The Role:

                     Working as part of a larger marketing / communications team to deliver the event element of integrated marketing campaigns

                     Having responsibility for the delivery of a number of regional events, from pre-event planning, on the day event management, to post-event follow up in accordance with the company’s events process

                     Assisting in collateral development, including co-ordinating inputs (progressing to copywriting) for bespoke event materials

                     Collating data to prepare return-on-investment reports and areas for improvement

                     With support from the Events & Communications Assistant:

-          creating and maintaining event campaigns on the CRM system – Microsoft Dynamics

-          creating Dotmailer mailings using the e-marketing technology

-          creating event posts for the website

-          assisting in data management, including the use of research tools, gathering information about event attendees, and supporting on cleansing ‘bouncebacks’ from the events invite process

                     liaising and developing relationships with internal stakeholders of all levels

                     delivering events within an allocated budget

                     liaising and developing relationships with external suppliers, such as contractors, caterers, audio-visual suppliers, venues etc

On an ad hoc basis, you will be required to travel to the firm’s other offices nationally, work unsociable hours as required (i.e., for early breakfast or evening events), and if required, work extra hours at short notice; this is essential due to the nature of the role.

Marketing Events Executive – The Candidate:

                     a minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role, ideally with12 months in professional services

                     degree-level education in marketing or equivalent (ideally)

                     an understanding of legal or professional services sector (ideally)

                     a solid working knowledge of social media

                     excellent written and verbal communication skills

                     experience in the use of Microsoft Dynamics and Dotmailer (ideally although training will be provided for this)

                     to be enthusiastic and proactive, with an optimistic approach

                     to have very strong attention to detail

                     to be committed to delivering excellent levels of service to internal and external clients at all times

                     to be flexible, with the ability to react to change and prioritise accordingly

                     the willingness to work flexible hours, and additional hours as necessary to fulfil the role
